NSS stands for National Service Scheme. National Service Scheme is a Scheme or a public service which is sponsored by the Government of India and is under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. It was founded in 1969 with an objective to improve the personality of Students and young generation through community services. This association is volunteered by the young students of Colleges, Institutes, Universities.

Motto   

The motto of NSS is "Not Me But rather You," reflects the possibility of law based living and advances the requirement for self-less assistance. NSS Logo

The logo of NSS is available in the NSS Badge. It is inspired by the big Rath Wheel of the world-famous Konark Sun Temple (The Black Pagoda) situated in the Orissa province of India. The Red and Blue shade of the logo inspires the NSS Volunteers to be dynamic and energetic for the country building social activities. The red shading demonstrates that the volunteer is loaded with youthful blood and is dynamic, vivacious, and decided. The naval force blue shading shows the universe of which the NSS is a little part and therefore arranged to contribute its offer for the prosperity of the general public and humanity. The wheel in the logo represents the cycle of creation, safeguarding, and shows the development in life across reality. Subsequently, it shows as well as change and indicates the continuous striving of NSS for social change.

1) How do I join the National Service Scheme?

Students can join the NSS scheme by registering themselves by means of the concerned Program Officer. they must be of a bona fide College, University, or School. The NSS is a voluntary scheme and students can select themselves from 11th standard onwards.
